High wrought iron shawl rack with tripod base, bolted forged vertical rod, square on base, becoming round and tapered, ending by a hook for hanging on ceiling, thick iron tray, octagonal with raised edges, adjustable height, positioned by a forged brake with windings forming a clip, sliding along the rod.
Tallow or resinous chips were burned on this large tray.
Dimensions: 48cm x 15cm... Swiss or Alpine work, 18th century.
