Old wooden dish with a beautiful patina of use collected in Passam area in Papua New Guinea. This type of dish, now replaced by enamel bowls, was used as a culinary dish, particularly during food sharing organized during certain traditional ceremonies. Decorated and with a handle to be hung in the hut. Engraved designs on the back and around the edge evoking totemic plants and animals. Traces and patina of use.
