Charles Louis Malric: born on August 19, 1872 in Bordeaux and died in the same city on January 21, 1942, was a student of Laurent Marqueste (1848-1920), Alexandre Falguière (1831-1900) and Antonin Mercié (1845-1916) at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He then became a professor at the École des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux.
