FOLK ART-ANCIENT TEXTILES-FOLKLORE BRITTANY FRANCE 1ST HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY BAPTISM CAP SILK-LINEN-GOLD THREAD-SEQUINS Beautiful and interesting Breton christening cap, from the first half of the 20th century, in silk, gold thread, linen (lining) and sequins and satin strap (slight stain on one). Entirely handmade, this example is richly decorated and probably belonged to a very religious family. Beautiful balance of shape and colors. Traditional popular craftsmanship from Brittany which has, fortunately, survived over time. Very good general condition (some sequins are missing).
