"Zograscope, Late 18th Century"
Early and beautiful Zograscope dating from the end of the 18th century in turned wood with wood inlays of different colors. Also note the decorative elements around the lens frame in brass and bone. A Zograscope is an optical instrument composed of a large biconvex lens and a plane mirror inclined at 45 degrees. It allows to create a three-dimensional effect when viewing optical views. Good condition of preservation and opticsApproximately 72cm in height
