"Germany Sandstone Bellarmine 17th Century"
"Bellarmine" pitcher called Bartmannskrug in salt-glazed stoneware (certainly manufactured in Frechen, Germany), depicting a bearded man placed as an applique on the neck of the pitcher, the large-bellied pitcher is said to caricature Cardinal Bellarmine. 3 other stamped marks in the shape of a heart complete the decoration.
