"The Elegant Bouquet By Karel Van Belle "
Interesting painting by the Belgian painter. The frame must be changed or restored. Karel Van Belle was a student at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, where he benefited from the teaching of Jean Delvin and Louis Tytgadt. In 1913, he was selected as one of the six candidates admitted to participate in the Belgian Prix de Rome in painting. The prize was not awarded that year, but he received an honorable mention that he shared with Willem Van Riet. Karel Van Belle sent three paintings to the Brussels Salon of 1914: Venus, A Queen and Holy Image. On October 5, 1959, Karel Van Belle died, at the age of 75, in the hamlet of the Béguinage in Ghent. Measures with frame 52cm by 60cm.
