Silver 800 Coffee Pot, Neoclassical Style, Italy, 20th Century

Elegant silver 800 coffee pot, of Italian manufacture, probably dating to the first half of the 20th century. The piece bears the “800” silver hallmark along with a second unidentified shield-shaped mark.
Crafted in neoclassical style, the pot features a graceful and symmetrical silhouette: the ovoid body rests on a circular gadrooned base, and the lid is topped with a small pine-cone finial. The handle, made of ebonized wood, is elegantly curved and well insulated. The spout is sculpted in the form of a stylized bird of prey’s head, finely detailed and striking in appearance.
Dimensions: height 17 cm, width 19 cm (handle to spout), depth 9 cm. Total weight: 230 g.
The overall condition is good, though there is a visible dent on the lower part of the body, caused by a knock that has slightly bent the base. The silver retains a beautiful patina consistent with its age.
