Double-sided flat desk marquetry of rosewood in amaranth and tobacco frames on four sheathed legs decorated with garlands of laurel in gilded bronze and flowers at the four corners. It opens in belt with three drawers decorated with Greek friezes locking with keys. The drawers and false drawers as well as the sides are surrounded by frames in gilded bronze the top of the desk is covered with patinated Havana leather. The edge of the Platau as well as the bottom of the belt are surrounded by an ingot mold this desk in the style of Montigny is signed on a lock of p sormani rue Charlot in Paris mid-19th century
