OIL ON CANVAS MOUNTED ON STRONG CARDBOARD SIGNED AND LOCATED "MARIUS HUBERT ROBERT - ATHENS - VIEW OF THE RUINS OF A TEMPLE ON THE HEIGHTS OF ATHENS - IN ITS ORIGINAL JUICE - FRAME SIZE 42 X 55 CM - Marius Hubert-Robert (born in Paris on June 10, 1885 and died on March 14, 1966 in Nice) is an orientalist painter and illustrator. Biography He exhibited in particular at the Salon des Indépendants in 1929 [1], at the Artistes Français, at the Société Nouvelle des Beaux Arts, at the Salon d'Hiver. Painter to the 10th Army during the 1914-18 war, Marius Hubert Robert gave 2 of his war works to the Musée du Luxembourg.
