Wmf "alpacca" Soup Tureen
Artist: Wmf
WMF alpacca soup tureen (Würtembergische Metallwarnfabrik, German manufacturer active from 1880 to the present day, founded by Daniel Straub). According to the WMF hallmark with the running ostrich, its manufacture could be between 1903 and 1930. The letter O in a diamond would indicate a tiny proportion of silver; German alpacca (nickel silver) is an alloy of brass, zinc and nickel. The shiny external gray-black color is obtained by a process. This soup tureen, elegant in shape, is in good condition (note a small point of impact on the lid). Weight: 1857 gr.
