This drawing is signed lower right Foujita, located in Paris and dated 1929. Leonard Foujita 1886-1968 is an artist of Japanese origin, fascinated by Western culture, he moved to Paris where he met Picasso, discovered Cubism, the work of Douanier Rousseau, thus immersing himself in the avant-garde of the moment "modern art". He was part of the Paris school, of which he became one of the stars in the interwar period alongside Derain, Soutine, Modigliani, Vlaminck, Leger...
