"German Wrought Iron Padlock, Engraved, 17th Century"
Large wrought iron half-heart padlock, a Nuremberg model since the 16th century. Rare movable metal shackle or arch in the shape of a rectangle with hooks, stamped with the iM hallmark in the center.
Perfectly functioning single-turn key, fine engraving on the central apron, attachment ring allowing the open stirrup to be attached to the body of the padlock.
The steel has retained its forging blue.
