Seal In Silver And Cut Rock Crystal, Richly Crafted Baroque Or Rococo Model

Very beautiful seal or stamp in solid silver, so-called baroque or rococo model very richly worked with motifs of leafy scrolls, foliage, staples; the head of the seal decorated with lines of pearls and gadroons; the upper part surmounted by a rock crystal cut with a multitude of facets and adopting the shape of a flattened sphere. The seal is numbered with the initials MG I think (look at the photos on this subject). On the edge of the head of the seal itself the object bears a master's mark accompanied by the initials GAS and higher on the junction knot between the head and the shaft a very small control mark for its importation, the weevil with the letter V.
