H. Vian, Orientalist Chandelier, France, Circa 1890
Charming Orientalist chandelier in gilded and chiseled bronze and « ruby » crystal. The shaft is formed of six gilded bronze uprights from which emerge six light-arms ending in bobeches in the shape of domes with bird heads, and openwork binets. It is topped with a twisted column in « ruby » crystal with a leafy ceiling light decorated with spheres which, like the light-arms, are connected by chains from which hang “ruby” crystal drops.
