Rare Japanese miniature tea house in rankanku (eggshell) lacquer with gilded crane decoration. Some chips to the lacquer (which is not unusual). Japan - Meiji era (1868-1912) Dimensions: 24 cm high, 18 cm long, 13 cm deep. Comparison: A similar tea house is in the Museum für Lackkunst (Münster, Germany).
