"Henri Honoré Plé (1853-1922), Art Nouveau Vase."
Important Art Nouveau baluster-shaped pewter vase with a semi-round decoration on the upper part of a reclining young woman and a grotesque mask, and at the base, a child watching a crab. The handle features a leafy scroll and a swan. The body presents a seascape decorated with sailboats on the sea. Signed. Foundry stamp of the Ettlinger Brothers. Height 38 cm. Circa 1900. Model reproduced in "Etains 1900" by Philippe Dahhan. Vase confirmed by Jean Claude Commencal, expert.
