Modernist Desk Lamp By Erpe – Belgium – Circa 1950

Rare articulated desk lamp from the Belgian company ERPE, model no. 52, made in Belgium around the 1950s. It is distinguished by a functionalist and modernist design, typical of the post-war period, where industrial aesthetics are combined with rational simplicity. The lamp is composed of a black enameled cast iron base, embossed with the words "ERPE MADE IN BELGIUM", a black lacquered metal arm articulated by two pivots, and an asymmetrical metal lampshade, adjustable, allowing targeted diffusion of light.
