Lovely Stoup In Gilded Wood From The 19th Century

Lovely holy water font in finely carved wood and gilded with gold leaf. Very beautiful relief of acanthus leaves, foliage with a clever geometry. A scrolled shell surmounts the holy water font which is decorated with double oval arches. Probably in linden wood. Louis - Philippe period. With its reasonable dimensions and refinement, it will fit ideally into your 19th century interior, oratory or chapel… I have kept the fine transparent wire that its previous owner had installed to fix it to the wall.
