Bronze with brown patina. Very good condition. Hisashi OKEMOTO was born in 1942 in Omura, Nagasaki Prefecture. He graduated from the Department of Education at Saga University. He subsequently exhibited his sculptures in official exhibitions and became a member of the Nitten Committee (Fine Arts Fair). The theme of interiority seems to be central to his work. His subjects are often linked to thoughts and memories, as well as through the expressions and poses of his statues, which are frequently meditative.
