"Silver Shell Sculpture Signed Mortet"
It is made of 925 silver.
The base consists of a large shell-shaped valve, finely crafted with concentric grooves that imitate the mollusk's natural grain. The shell rests on three ornamental sculpted feet, which raise it and provide stability.
At the center of the object stands a realistically depicted nude female figure, seated in a dynamic pose. With one hand, the woman holds and controls a snake, depicted in detail as it coils around her body.
The object is signed "Mortet."
The Mortet family has been working in Rome since 1891.
They have created important works such as the gold pen with which Pope John XXIII signed his first encyclical.
Or the pectoral cross of Pope Paul VI.
Weight: 233 g.
