Just Andersen (1884-1943) was a Danish designer and goldsmith born in Greenland. In Copenhagen, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and then at the Academy of Arts and Crafts. After working for Georg Jansen, he opened his own workshop in 1918 and specialized in the production of decorative objects in silver, bronze, pewter but also disko, an alloy based on tin, lead and antimony that he himself invented. During the 1920s and 1930s, he presented his creations at numerous exhibitions, from Paris to Rio de Janeiro via Barcelona. His works are now part of the collections of prestigious institutions, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. Some marks and wear.
