This mirror is a magnificent example of Venetian craftsmanship from the mid-18th century. The frame is richly carved and gilded, featuring ornamentation typical of the Barocchetto style: scrolls, curls, acanthus leaves, and naturalistic decorations. The upper section is distinguished by an elaborate crest with a central mirrored cartouche and ribbon and shell motifs. The mirror itself shows evident signs of oxidation and age, with spots and alterations typical of original mercury glass.
