Superb and elegant 19th century stone sculpture. It represents a Virgin and Child finely carved in bas-relief. The Virgin has her hands in prayer and looks at the child Jesus lying on the ground whose head is encircled by a halo. Sculpture of great finesse and in very good condition, a restoration at the top right visible in the photos. The whole rests on a half-spherical base in carved limestone and decorated with flowers and foliage not being original but marrying wonderfully. Beautiful decorative sculpture;
