XIXth Painting Portrait Of Princess Zéphirine Copy By Jean-marc Nattier
Artist: Jean Marc Nattier (copie)
Royal doll Superb and elegant oil painting on canvas representing Marie-Zéphirine de France at the age of one year, daughter of Dauphin Louis de France. This painting is a copy of the portrait made by Jean-Marc Nattier (1685-1766) in 1751. Marie-Zéphirine is the royal child, with amazed look, cheeks on fire and the affected gesture with which the child caresses her little dog, sends back the image of a doll. Sumptuously dressed in a long robe and a finely embroidered headdress, seated on a blue velvet cushion topped with gold patterns, she holds a magnificent gold and coral rattle in her hand. She died four years later of convulsions. High quality work where the colors have remained bright and luminous, in excellent condition.
