This is a set of two pairs of wooden wall shelves entirely covered in glacé brown velvet.
Made to order by a skilled Roman artisan in the 1970s, they share the same design but come in two different sizes: two larger and two smaller ones.

They were used to display and highlight objects or statues against a vertical wall.

There’s some dust, a few marks on the velvet, and a small nail protruding slightly from the structure—but overall, the condition of these luxurious wall shelves can be described as good.
