We present here a tapestry by a rare artist on the market: Edith MATHON. Entitled on the reverse "the forest of birds", our tapestry dates from 1981. Very strongly influenced by surrealist painters (de Chirico, Dali, Tanguy etc....), Edith MATHON imposes her style as much poetic as technical (very complicated perspective in the weaving). A cartridge sewn on the reverse tells us that this is the first weaving (EA1), that it is a second version of this model. And finally that Edith MATHON is the cartonniere-lissiére.
