Edouard Pingret was a French painter born in Saint-Quentin in 1785 and died in Paris in 1869. He studied painting with Jacques-Louis David and Jean-Baptiste Regnault then at the Academy of Saint-Luc in Rome. He exhibited at the Salons from 1810.
