Square scarifier with 13 blades. Instrument used, between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 1900s, to cut the skin before applying a vaccine or to apply suction cups called "scarified" (small bloodletting). Large model, the rear cover has a foliage decoration, a wrought iron key allows the blades to be adjusted, an upper latch allows the blades to come out while a side button allows them to be retracted.
Very beautiful and rare example, in working order.
