Refined French Empire style portico clock, dating from the early 1800s, in black and white marble, richly decorated with finely chiseled gilt bronzes. The enameled dial with Roman numerals is signed, inserted in an architectural structure in the form of a pediment, supported by two fluted columns with Corinthian capitals. The pendulum, in the shape of a radiant sun, oscillates between the columns, a classic symbol of the Empire period.
