"First Half Of The 20th Century Painting Still Life With Objects "
Beautiful
oil painting on canvas, framed in a carved wooden frame and painted with
geometric decorative motifs. In the center of the painting is a still life with
various objects, which from the left are: a blue glass flask, a red cloth, a
helmet, a marble statue foot, a chain mail with two swords, a candle and some
shells. The contrast between the objects and their colors certainly makes this
painting interesting and of great taste, as does its pictorial quality. At the
bottom you can read the signature of the artist, namely Osvaldo Tordi, a
Florentine painter and student of Colacicchi, active between the first and
second half of the 20th century. Since the date 1940 is also present, the
painting is attributed to the first half of that period.
