"Louis XV Gilt Bronze Clock"
Rococo clock or Cartel to pose in gilt bronze, with matte and shiny patina, chiseled in relief, flanked by rocaille, volute and openwork motifs on a red background. The enameled dial is signed Le Faucheur in Paris, clockmaker to the King around 1780, master in 1729. It indicates the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals. The movement has been revised and strikes the hours and half hours with a double gong. On the damping a decoration of a jetty of flowers, at its base a moving terrace decorated with a shell in the center.
