"Pair Of Meissen Porcelain Salt Cellars, Saxony, Mid-19th Century."
They are made of white Meissen porcelain, very finely decorated in garnet-red monochrome. Below, mark "with two crossed swords" in blue. The exteriors show buildings: farm, beautiful cottage, mill, architectural ruin, in landscapes of Saxony, wooded and lively. Flowers and small insects complete these motifs. In the interiors, in the center, a butterfly and an ant are gracefully surrounded by small bouquets. These salt cellars rest on four small, very arched feet, ending in 'windings'. The necks are encircled with beautiful solid silver mounts: 'Minerva' hallmarks. Beautiful tableware objects, in perfect condition.
