Art Deco desk set, including a flat desk and its executive chair, signed by Jules Cayette, a major figure of the Nancy School. Made in 1929, these two pieces illustrate the artist's evolution towards a refined Art Deco aesthetic, with clean lines and noble materials. Flat desk: Structure in precious veneer wood, top surrounded by a wooden frame and decorated with brown leather in the central part. Has 4 drawers and a compartment for storing plans or other items on one side and on the other has three doors. Two side pulls are present. a central panel in chiseled gilt bronze, representing a stylized seabed motif, typical of Cayette's creations. The carved legs are decorated with stylized seaweed motifs in the Art Deco style, testifying to careful and balanced cabinetmaking work. Desk dimensions: 185 cm long, 80 cm high, 102 cm deep Office chair: Matching wood frame, with curved armrests. Cream leather upholstery, highlighted with gold nails. Enveloping design combining comfort and elegance, with sculpted curved legs. Newly reupholstered!
