But where does the white rabbit run to…. That’s another story… mine is that: barely out of the attic of the university where it had been resting for ages, it now parades covered in dust. Exceptional object: white rabbit revealing its entrails. Object dated 1955 and monogrammed, in magnificent condition. Polychrome plaster, fixed on its wooden support. (a minor crack runs through the ear and a small lack of skin on one side…) For documentation: Franz Josef Steger (1845 - 1938), sculptor collaborated with the anatomist pathologist Carl Ernst Bock (1809 - 1874) at the University of Leipzig to produce models for teaching students. These were either direct casts or sculptures in plaster, porcelain or wax. Steger is also known for having studied the early use of plastic materials. Steger's educational models were sold through international catalogs and science stores in Germany. this item should preferably be delivered by carrier, or by hand if possible.
