Pair of square Canton enamel bowls with polylobed contours, the rare decoration of which presents, for one, a Westerner and a Mandarin conversing, for the other, a Westerner playing a musical instrument near a river. Each of the bowls is circled in silver. Famille rose. China for Europe, late 18th century. Stamp and symbol on the reverse. Dimensions: 9.60 cm x 9.60 cm.
