Elegant pair of X-shaped seats known as curule or folding stools, 19th century, Napoleon III period, in finely carved gilded wood covered with gold leaf, featuring a decoration from the neoclassical repertoire, presenting a curule-shaped structure with an X-shaped base molded in reserve with interlacing foliage, in the center a rosette in an intersection medallion, a foliated baluster spacer, the feet are decorated with acanthus leaves ending in scalloped sabots. The seats are covered in velvet decorated with a polychrome floral crown. Good used condition. Dimensions: 63 cm long X 47 cm wide / height 45 cm
