"Letter Opener In Silver And Horn. "
Beautiful letter opener dating from the end of the 19th century or beginning of the 20th century. It is made of solid silver with a motif of a "boyar" or "Teutonic knight" type character in armor and chainmail. The metalwork is of high quality and in perfect condition. I did not find any hallmarks but the silver was tested with a touchstone. The hallmark may be hidden in the chiseling of the decoration. No dents, very good condition. The rest of the object is made of horn and has some scratches but no cracks or missing parts. Perhaps Russian work. Total length: 31cm Width: 3.4cm.
