"The Pont Marie in Paris" Oil on canvas signed lower right Pierre Neveu (1929). Dimensions: 65 x 54 cm Pierre Neveu was born in Paris on July 10, 1929. He lives and works in Saint-Gratien. His artistic studies took him from the Ecole Boule to the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the studio of Maurice Brianchon. In 1953, Pierre Neveu began his career as a drawing teacher for the city of Paris. Seconded in 1960 to the CREDIF (Centre for Research and Study for the Diffusion of French) of the École Normale Supérieure de Saint-Cloud, he was responsible for producing images for audiovisual methods (French/foreign languages). He was awarded the Medal of Honor at the Salon des Artistes Français in 2007, and exhibits frequently in France and the United States, where he enjoys great success, particularly with his luminous, colorful and skillfully constructed landscapes.
