"A Gold Chatelaine From The Second Half Of The 19th Century"
Articulated chatelaine in the 18th century style formed of several cartouches in multi-tone gold and centered with chiseled oval medallions. Chiseled country trophies, including gardener's tools, hat, doves, dog, quiver, basket and garlands of flowers and leaves give this ensemble a hymn to love and nature. On either side of the central cartouche, two chains reproducing the flower motif end with a winding key and a blank seal. Central hook for the missing watch. A gold chain and safety pin, vermeil back clasp. In its case from Molgatini Frères in Orléans, with the lid stamped with a marquis' crown above the number SV ( worn).
