This face is distinguished by its hair for which each wave has been carefully sculpted. Two braids arranged in a crown adorn this hair held in place by a ribbon. A flower, elegantly placed on the second level of the hairstyle adds to the careful work of the whole. This hairstyle, finely sculpted, highlights the majesty of this head. The delicate features emphasizing her eyes, her slightly prominent nose, her slightly curled lips compose a calm, impassive and reassuring physiognomy.
- Its sculpture in the round, and the two pierced (one on the underside and another at the top of the head) lead us to think that it is the face of a larger sculpture, that of a caryatid (statue of a woman serving here as a pilaster and able to support on her head a cornice, an architrave, a balcony, etc.).
- Good condition, some old restorations and missing parts are to be noted (see photos)
- Dimensions - Height: 22.5 cm, Width: 18.5 cm, Depth: 11.5 cm
