"Louis XVI Period Bouillotte Table In Mahogany Stamped "f.bury" Master In 1774"
Coffee table called "bouillotte" in solid mahogany and veneer. This table opens with two drawers and two small pulls in the belt. It rests on four tapered and fluted legs ending with period bronze clogs and olive casters. Table topped with its white Carrara marble (not broken or stained) surrounded by an openwork bronze gallery. Not very common because often misplaced or lost, this table is equipped with its period lid with double reversible sides called "stopper" for use as a games table. This stopper is on one side covered with green felt and on the other with dark green leather stamped with a small iron with a gold sheathing as well as on the 2 small pulls. Refined and very elegant table of very good quality stamped with JME of the jurande "F.BURY" master in 1774, in perfect condition, entirely period. Only the green felt has been changed and this has been revarnished with a natural stamp.
