"Louis XVI Period Weekly Planner"
Louis XVI period marquetry chest of drawers. Late 18th century. By definition, it opens with seven drawers, the first being smaller than the others. The front uprights are canted. The front is in rosewood marquetry in amaranth frames separated by two lemonwood and ebony fillets. The sides are veneered with satin in amaranth frames separated by three fillets. This piece of furniture is topped with an original royal red marble top molded with a cavetto. It has been previously restored. Original bronze lock escutcheons and falls. Original functional locks with seven keys. Parisian manufacture, similar to the productions of the cabinetmaker Pascal COIGNIARD, received master on August 27, 1777.
