Large console table by the Belgian sculptor Roger Bonduel (1930-2019) in acid-etched and patinated steel. The edge of the table is all around edged and the table top has a beautiful clouded patina. From 1961 to 1966, Roger Bonduel taught visual art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges. Bonduel became best known for its sculptures, furniture, and bas-reliefs. He used nickel, copper, steel, silver, brass and bronze. He played an important role in the revival of religious art. This table was made in the 1960s for a an interiorproject of a modernist chapel in Belgium.
