The human figure and mythological themes are particularly inspiring in Van Gyseghem’s sculpture. The ascending-descending, ascending-radiating oppositions, hardness-tenderness, daydreams-tragedies took shape in movements of opposite threads and perpendicular constructions in the construction of his sculptures and in particular the one presented by igmarstuer and pschantiques
