Antique Tortoiseshell Piquè Gold Earrings
Piquè is the old ( and lost ! ) art of inlay small gold points in the
tortoiseshell. This art started in Naples in the 18th century. We
present now a very nice and long pair of antique earrings in
tortoiseshell gold piquè earrings mounted in 14K Gold. They are very
long and light, full of small gold piquè points also in two colours gold
inlaid in the tortoieshell. Very elegant to wear and very light too.
From Naples. End of the 19th century. 14K Gold (touchstone tested). They
are in perfect condition.
