Iranian rug from the Arak region, kurk wool, warp and weft and cotton, circa 1980. Very good condition. Zarsharak-sized sarough. On a plain ivory 'kafzadé' background, a central medallion in the shape of a rosette and four discreet spandrels stand out. The field of the rug is framed by an elegant herati (flower) border.
Kurk wool: fine lamb's wool collected by combing. Strong and durable wool.
