"Prajnaparamita In Bronze, Java"
Votive statuette, possibly Prajnaparamita, Buddhist goddess of transcendent wisdom. Although she is often depicted with feminine attributes (breast), androgynous representations are not unusual in Javanese Buddhist art of this period. The four-armed deity sits in lalitasana on a double lotus pedestal. One left hand and the right arm are missing, on the back, the birth of the halo can still be seen.
