"Series Of Six Russian Porcelain Figurines Dedicated To Gogol's Characters, Lfz Factory"
A series of six porcelain figurines made in the 1960s by the Leningrad Porcelain Manufactory (Leningradski Farforovy Zavod – LFZ). These small sculptures are inspired by the famous works of Nikolai Gogol, a great 19th-century Russian writer. They feature characters from books such as The Inspector General (The Inspector General) and Dead Souls (Myortvye douchi). The figurines capture both the comedy and tragedy of the heroes, characteristic of Gogol's style. Each piece is shaped and painted by hand, with great attention to expressions and postures, reflecting the uniqueness of each character. These are collectibles, but also an original way to discover the richness of classic Russian literature.
