- Oil on canvas. Magnificent quality. - Copy of the portrait of Don Diego del Corral de Arellano, Marquis of Narros, Auditor, then Lieutenant Governor of the Council of Castile. (Painted by Diego Velazquez in 1632, the original painting is part of the permanent exhibition at the Prado Museum by donation of his descendant the Duchess of Villahermosa). Made in 1918 by the Flemish Maurice Mehaenden, who stayed in Madrid during WWI and obtained permission from the Prado to make copies of the painters of the Golden Age. - Dimensions of the unframed image: 46 x 74 cm / 72 x 100 cm with a magnificent period frame.
